The Motion Sick: The Metro knows how awesome this is going to be…

We’re playing with Vic Thrill. He was featured on the NPR show This American Life here:

(skip about 7 1/2 minutes in)

It is actually quite a fascinating set of stories of the struggle to find one’s identity, so I would really recommend listening to it. Anyway, Tina Fey (of SNL fame) heard this show on NPR and asked Vic to help her write a movie about the story ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0424920/ ). Sasha Baron Cohen (Borat) is going to be starring in it. I imagine that this movie will be big and I imagine that when it comes out, Vic Thrill (whose name is in the title and is one of the two main characters) will be instantaneously super-famous and will be doing the crazy late-night talk show circuit, etc.

If you’re interested in being one of those cool first-on-the-block-so-you-can-brag-to-everyone kind of people, here’s a chance to check out Vic Thrill (and The Motion Sick of course) at a small, intimate venue before this movie, based on true events in his life, comes out.

We’re playing 3rd and Vic is playing 4th. The Televangelist and the Architect is quite likely my favorite local band. I definitely listen to their record more than any other local band. They open the night. Pony is second. I’ve heard great things about them, but have not seen them yet myself.
