Are you excited to be participating in the 31st WBCN Rock ‘n’ Roll Rumble?

Yes, very much so. It’s a great Boston tradition and we’re really excited to be a part of it.

Are you afraid of the Rumble curse?

We’re from Boston; we’re not afraid of curses.

Do you plan on doing anything special or different for your set?

We haven’t planned anything. Our top priority is to make sure we’re as tight as possible and to put on the best possible live show that we can.

How far do you think you’ll progress in the competition?

Um – We don’t know. We hope pretty far.

What’s your bet on who will make it to the finals?

Again – we don’t know. The Motion Sick, Logan 5 and the Runners and the Lights Out have gotten great press lately. Apple Betty is pretty awesome and we love their song “You Creep Me Out.” The Luxury have had a great rep around town for a while. Any one of those bands could be there. We hope we’ve got a shot too.

Are there any bands you would have picked for the line up this year that didn’t get in?

The Diamond Mines, You Can Be A Wesley, The New Dumb, Tony the Bookie Orchestra, Keys to the Streets of Fear, St Helena, and Tulsa.

What band is your favorite past winner?

The Dresden Dolls – emphatically!

What past competitor do you think was most robbed?

The Lemonheads & Mission of Burma are easy picks. And we love Township and love(d) Baker, but Eli “Paperboy” Reed not even making the Finals? Something seemed off with that.
