EVERY SATURDAY at 7:30PM in the STUDIO Theater — MISTER DIPLOMAT offers an adrenaline rush of improvised comedy – The Diplo format, which features a special guest monologist (storyteller, improvisers might say “Armando”) each week, most closely resembles ASSSSCAT performed by the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York. For a decade in North Carolina, and now in Boston, MISTER DIPLOMAT hijacks audiences at home, at comedy events including the Chicago Improv Festival, Charleston Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Arts Festival, and on stage at the UCB Theatre for the Del Close Marathon, and takes them for a ride. Our goal every night is to improvise a comedy EVENT, where audiences get to know our special guest and also laugh Hard, REAL Hard, (and maybe pee themselves a little).
