Are you excited to be participating in the 31st WBCN Rock & Roll Rumble?
Yes, it’s very nice to be asked
Are you afraid of the Rumble curse?
No, not really. I’m only afraid that they don’t get our rider right.
Do you plan on doing anything special or different for your set?
I might have Matt sing all the songs, just to keep him on his toes.
How far do you think you’ll progress in the competition?
I would say: Expect the worst, and hope for the best, but don’t hope
too much because suck is around the corner. And either way, we’re
Matt would say: We’re awesome.
So I guess it really depends on our outfits.
What’s your bet on who will make it to the finals?
I haven’t heard a lot of the bands this year and I’m really looking
forward to seeing them. I can’t really make the call without hearing
all of them, but I’m assuming the band that wins will have guitar in
it, and Eksi Ekso are pretty fantastic.
Are there any bands you would have picked for the line up this year
that didn’t get in?
I don’t know if Hallelujah the Hills have been in it before, but I’d
What band is your favorite past winner?
Looking at the list, I haven’t seen very many of the winning bands,
most of my favorites don’t win. The ones I have seen and like
though are Reverend Glasseye, Bleu, and the Dresden Dolls.
What past competitor do you think was most robbed?
Jesus, the MOST robbed? There are so many fantastic bands on that
list! I will say that the first time I saw Ad Frank with his whole band was his Rumble set and it was pretty magical. It was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, and I was flabbergasted that he didn’t make it to the next round.
Any final words or smacktalk before the battle begins?
“I’m going to pulverize you so forcibly, you will see ultraviolet!”
