This article originally appears on Boston Band Crush ). I had recently written about the House of Blues opening. Well, in these tougher economic times, we often hear about jobs lost, but rarely about jobs created. I am pleased to announce that the opening of the House of Blues will create some 200 jobs. To fill many of these positions, they are holding an employment fair on January 13-14, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Absolut Clubhouse at Fenway Park, 72 Brookline Ave in Boston.
The official word:
House of Blues Boston is looking to fill a wide variety of positions, including ticket sellers, line and prep cooks, cocktail staff, restaurant hosts, servers, retail associates, bartenders, security staff, training coordinator, HR assistant, sous chef and dishwashers.
I’m looking forward to the addition of the mid-price, mid-level, national-act-drawing venue in Boston. I hope it will help bring us more great shows!
