This article originally appeared on Boston Band Crush ). We’ve been following Bryan McPherson’s music for, approximately, forever, and he’s up to super-great things recently. He’ll be opening up all six nights of the Dropkick Murphys stint at the House of Blues this month. There are still (I’m not even sure how this is possible!) tickets available (through Ticketmaster) for two nights: March 12th and March 16th.
Bryan puts on an amazing live show, full of heart and grit. He plays anti-folk in the punk-rock tradition of unabashedly giving voice to difficult issues and pushing for social change. The lyrics are raw and his delivery emotional.
