This article originally appeared on Boston Band Crush ). Anngelle Wood recently took over the reins at WBCN as the host of Boston Emissions- their long running local radio program. Anngelle is finely tuned in with the local rock community – and makes herself available to talk shop at the Rock ‘n Roll Social (held the second Tuesday of every month -that’s next Tuesday). Boston Emissions (on every Sunday from 10pm-midnight) organizes the Rock n Roll Rumble – which I’ve read is the longest running battle of the local bands in the country. This week will be an exciting show (3/08/09) as this years competitors in the Rumble will be announced and a song from each band will be played. Expect some live blogging of the event!
