Iconic gay punk-rockers, Pansy Division are playing this Wednesday at TT’s in support of their new album, That’s So Gay. There is a great article on them in Newsweek that discusses some of the themes of the new album and how they are one of the few bands giving voice to the gay rights movement, “It’s a pivotal time for the gay community,” Ginoli says [in the article], “and it would be incredible if our music could play a part in that progress.”
Lead guitarist and “token hetero” (their words!) in PD, Joel Reader, also fronts Boston’s The Fatal Flaw, who is also on the bill. The Fatal Flaw was introduced to me by The Rumble and I’m psyched to see them again (with a totally new line-up I hear.)
Opening up is The Motion Sick, who just won the title of “Best Band in Boston” from The Boston Phoenix.
