Ian Adams opens, he just released a solo album called Stay Up Late (he previously fronted the band Rock City Crimewave) that is moody and garagey and full of murder ballads.
The Shondes are from Brooklyn and I hear equal parts Siouxsie Sioux and Amanda Palmer. Rumor is that their live show is great.
Static of the Gods are a powerful trio with soaring female vocals. They are preparing to release a new album this fall called Knowledge Machine (which is named after the Finnish word for computer, which literally translates to “knowledge machine.”) They are an exciting band to watch with melodies and depth of noise much larger than thier numbers.
Larcenist are releasing thier CD at this show, according to Ryan: With influences ranging from classic rock to country, and soul to punk, they write to make the music of each song define its messages.
Head over to the Ryan’s Smashing Life post to download tracks from each of the bands playing!
