This article originally appears on Boston Band Crush ). The New Collisions are definitely hitting Boston hard. They’ve been around less than a year, but it seems that nothing can stop them. They release their first real EP on Friday, May 29 at TT the Bear’s.
The show is full to the brim with great rock. In addition to The New Collisions, we’ve got:
TOWNSHIP
TELEVANDALS
THE LIGHTS OUT
LOGAN 5 AND THE RUNNERS
Literally, every single one of these bands is a Boston Band Crush favorite! In case that wasn’t enough (which it was), esteemed DJ Chris Ewen will be spinning and quite possibly the greatest pop keyboard player to have ever existed in the universe, Greg Hawkes (of a little band you may have heard of called The Cars and a modern master of the uke) will be sitting in playing some keys with The New Collisions.
Because all of this still isn’t enough, The New Collisions will be doing four radio spots in eight days, starting today, Saturday, May 16.
Saturday, May 16, 7:00pm–The Dweezil Show–WMFO (acoustic performance/interview w/new songs)
Sunday, May 17, 10:00pm–Bay State Rock–WAAF (interview w/new songs), www.waaf.com
