ANNOUNCING THE RELEASE OF PSYCHO APE! PART II THE WRATH OF KONG
SEQUEL TO THE CULT SENSATION PSYCHO APE! (2020)
When the shit you throw against the wall hits the fan.
Once upon a Rind in Hollywood… there was a little movie called PSYCHO APE!
With a modest budget of $7,205.05 (raised via Kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gregdeliso/psycho-ape-0) filmmakers Addison Binek \u0026 Greg DeLiso created a bonafide, cult classic.
With over 1,000 discs sold, a special edition VHS release from Lunchmeat (https://lunchmeatvhs.com/products/psycho-ape-pre-order), trading cards galore (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2020657542/psycho-ape-collectible-trading-card-set-rrparkscards), and screenings around the country, PSYCHO APE! has taken on a life of its own.
So, naturally the filmmakers decided to cash in, baby!
PSYCHO APE!! PART II THE WRATH OF KONG – “a movie that appears to accidentally make itself as it goes.” – Addison Binek
This time, with double the budget, $14,000, (raised via Indiegogo https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/psycho-ape-part-ii-the-wrath-of-kong#/), creators Binek & DeLiso lean into the meta deconstructionism side of the guy-in-cheap-gorilla-costume schlockfest.
This one features less gore, less nudity and more parodies of A Few Good Men!
With a “plot” that zips along faster than a Chiquita, and featuring a cavalcade of stars that will babswoon your untamed heart.
Starring Kansas Bowling (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Verotika, Murdercise) and Bill Weeden (Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D.) Peter Stickles (Short Bus) Galen Howard (Star Wars: Book of Boba Fett) featuring Philip Proctor, Dylan Mars Greenberg, and John Karyus (Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead).
“Churned my brain into banana pudding.
That was fucking bonkers and I loved every second of it.”
– Kevin Cole, Cap City Video Lounge
