The Motion Sick: Metal Mondays: Warlock

As promised last week, I bring you Warlock for this week’s installment of Metal Mondays.  Checking my CD shelf, I can confirm that I still own the entire Warlock/Doro Pesch discography up to 1991 or so (including the Rare Diamonds import disc).  Thinking back, it’s hard to decide whether I actually liked Warlock or just really, really wanted to meet a hot blonde metal chick….

Now that I’ve got my own hot blonde metal chick, I can reflect on the situation more objectively.  I think I just wanted to meet a hot blonde metal chick.  Warlock may not be all that awesome musically, but they are a fun band with some excellent attire and hilariously silly lyrics written by native German speakers (all in a good way).

Here’s a music video for their cover of Procol Harum’s “Whiter Shade of Pale”

…and the anthemic existentialist puzzler, “All We Are” (complete with headbanging and explosions)

Heck, I’d go see a Doro Pesch concert right now…
