BBC: What Boston rockers, past or present, would you most like to have a One Night Band with?
SC: I think John Malkovich lives in Cambridge, so I’d most like to rock out with him. I’m confident we could make weird, beautiful music together while hopefully staying far away from the New Jersey turnpike.
BBC: What Boston rockers, past or present, would you most fear having a One Night Band with?
SC: I hear Michael J Epstein’s Mustache is a real tyrant!
BBC: Did you attend One Night Band last year? If so, what was the highlight? If not, what do you anticipate the event to be like?
SC: My highlight was not seeing the whole thing crashing down around us. I expect the walls to stay up again this year.
BBC: What is your normal song or part writing process? Will writing three songs in a single day drastically differ from your usual approach to creating music?
SC: I only write songs about a deceased actor trying to escape a mysterious village, so I anticipate that anything will be a drastic change from my usual approach.
BBC: What Boston band do you have the biggest crush on right now?
SC: I’m crushing on Boston bands 7 nights a week – but two recent records I keep going back to are: Your Secrets Are Mine Now by Ad Frank and the Fast Easy Women and Steam Ship Killers by Walter Sickert and the ARmy of BRoken TOys.
