I didn’t want to go too crazy borrowing shots from other films. I talked about a few times we referenced shots I liked during the shoot recaps including mentioning that we recreated the shots of the shower scene in Psycho.
Well, I decided it would be fun to share the rough version (no color correction or anything) of the Psycho scene (with sound from Psycho – the final scene in the film will have all original sound). I felt like I owed Hitchcock so much of my film-making heart that the best way to get it out of my system was to go ahead and pay tribute to his most famous scene in my first go at a feature film. I also thought the best way to do the shower scene would be outside of the shower.
